Instructor Biographies
Elke Damesyn, M.A. - Instructor Elke Damesyn received her M.A. degree in TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Anaheim University, and a B.S. degree in
agriculture and horticulture from Fachhochschule, Osnabrück, Germany. She has verbal aptitude in German, English, an
Portuguese. Elke is a certified tester in German at the Foreign Service Institute in Arlington, Va., has teaching experience at Berlitz
International, Rockville, Md., was an instructor in German at National Foreign Affairs Training Center, Arlington, Va., a teacher
of English and History for 6th grade students at Swedish Community, Luanda, in Angola and a German instructor for adult
education at Goethe Sector, in Windhoek, Nambia.
Monika Holeanca - Instructor Monika Holeanca started her career in foreign languages with the Wuerzburger Dolmetscherschule in Bavaria, Germany where she graduated as a state-certified foreign language correspondent. She also graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor in Science in International Business. Growing up in Romania and Germany, she has experienced the diversity in culture and language from a very young age. Her passion for languages (she speaks five by the way) and interest in international education and business affairs, affected her in a way that she became energetic, fun-loving and enthusiastic about conversing in a different language with people from all around the world.
